Raiffeisen Digital Bank enhances its free current account with 3 innovative features

Raiffeisen Digital Bank AG (RDB), the new digital bank that entered the Romanian market earlier this year, recently launched 3 new features, offering customers an enhanced and simplified banking experience: Instant payments for sending money in seconds, Card limits management for better control over their money and FX calculator, bringing transparency for those using the card abroad. Also, a new promotion offering 150 RON cashback is available for new customers meeting eligibility criteria.

The RDB current account is free of charge and can be obtained fully digitally in about 10 minutes in RDB App, together with a ready to use virtual card.

Instant Payments is a new feature that allows customers to quickly send money to friends, family, or businesses, directly from your Raiffeisen Digital Bank account, free of charge. If the recipient’s bank supports instant payments, the customer will see the “Instant Payment” toggle button for super-fast transfers. The instant payments feature is available 24/7 for transfers up to 49.999 lei. RDB clients can also receive money in seconds to their account from any bank in Romania that offers this service.

With Card Limit Management, customers can personalize the daily virtual card limits for different types of transactions, such as ATM cash withdrawals, POS payments and online payments. In this way you can control your spending and protect your funds, for example by limiting the use of the card to certain types of transactions. The customer can easily manage the personalized limits directly in RDB App.

The Exchange Rate calculator allows RDB App users to check the exchange rate and calculate the amount in lei for card transactions in foreign currency, thus providing cost transparency and peace of mind. RDB does not charge FX commissions on top of the exchange rate provided by Visa.

After two successful promotional offers that ran between September and November, increasing the bank’s awareness and attracting new customers, Raiffeisen Digital Bank is now launching a new customer-oriented promotion, even easier to access. New Raiffeisen Digital Bank customers who sign a current account contract between 04.12.2023 and 04.01.2024 can receive 150 lei cashback by using the virtual debit card for payments at merchants. To qualify for that bonus the customer has to spend a minimum of 300 lei during the promotion period through transactions at merchants, at POS (in-store) or via e-commerce. The promotion is limited to the first 500 customers who open the account during promotion period and meet the eligibility criteria. The bonus will be paid by the bank to customer accounts by 19.01.2024.
