ProCredit Bank launches ProGreen Aniversar, the green account dedicated to individuals who want to contribute to a sustainable environment

ProCredit Bank launches the first green current account package for individuals. Strategically named ProGreen Anniversar, in the context of 2 decades of activity in Romania, the new product assures customers that their financial activity will not support projects that harm the environment.

ProGreen Anniversar is intended for individuals who want to support the development of a sustainable economy and who understand that the money in their accounts indirectly contributes to the financing activity that commercial banks carry out.

Through receipts in ProGreen accounts, customers exclusively support the bank’s green loan portfolio, which, at the end of Q2 2022, exceeded 22% of the total volume of loans in progress. The new account targets relevant projects such as investments in renewable energy, high energy efficient machinery and equipment, sustainable housing, sustainable manufacturing, and agriculture or investments in recycling industries.

All of these are evaluated on clear criteria by ProCredit Bank teams, which apply detailed analysis methodologies designed to estimate each project’s ecological and social consequences over a more extended period, preceding the application of loans.
