ProCredit Bank launches ProDigital Business

ProCredit Bank, the development-oriented digital commercial bank, launches the ProDigital Business platform for corporate customers who can now open a 100% online bank account. The bank’s new service is the only one in Romania that allows digital authorization of persons on a business account.

With ProDigital Business, all account opening and authorization processes at ProCredit Bank can be done digitally. Now legal entity customers can upload documents and electronically provide information necessary to open and empower the people responsible for managing the business account. Entrepreneurs can thus prioritize their business development activities, investing the time gained from eliminating the bureaucratic processes that work with a financial institution requires.

The ProDigital Business platform is intuitive and incorporates a user-friendly interface. Customers can open a business account 100% online in a few simple steps by uploading and validating the identity card, identifying the legal representatives or authorized persons on the account through a video call, and validating the application through an electronic signature.

“ProDigital Business meets the needs of business customers, defined by the efficiency of the operations carried out in the relationship with the bank. Customers often face red tape and a complex process they must go through in person. Trips to the bank for authorizations or signatures are a stressor for companies while also wasting resources and time that could be directed toward business development. Authorizing a natural person on a company account, without the latter and the legal representative physically appearing in the bank, is an important step in the relationship with customers and an essential aspect of the efficiency of our internal processes. Moreover, by digitizing these operations, we considerably reduce the amount of paper used, an important strategic objective of the bank in terms of sustainability,” said Laurenția Popescu, Head of Banking Applications Support at ProCredit Bank.

Starting in December, ProCredit Bank offers digital services that meet most of its customers’ banking needs, responding digitally to most of the processes a company goes through throughout its relationship with the bank, from account opening to current operations.

ProDigital Business, the right decision for developing a sustainable business environment

The digital platform launch comes in the context of the 20th anniversary of the financial institution’s activity in Romania. The only bank with 100% German ownership, ProCredit Bank encourages the right decisions for a digital and sustainable future, both in the relationship with individual and legal clients.

ProDigital Business is the second-anniversary service that ProCredit Bank is launching, after ProGreen Anniversary – a current account for individuals who receive the guarantee that their banking activity will not support projects that damage the environment but will exclusively support sustainable initiatives.

Digitization and implementing sustainability measures in internal and external operations have played an essential role in the institution’s development in recent years. The decision to transform classic counters into 24/7 areas, to replace working with cash from branches, came as early as 2016 when ProCredit Bank became the first bank in Romania to introduce the concept of “cashless” branches.
