With an increase of over 35 percent in Corporate Wellness Package sales, World Class Romania is the leading provider of health & fitness programs for companies in Romania. The increase is mainly due to the extensive #BeHealthy educational campaign launched by World Class two years ago, aiming to inspire and motivate more Romanians to be more active more often.

Since then, the number of active World Class members has grown by 15 percent each year on average, exceeding 64,000 at the beginning of 2019. The increase in Corporate sales is also influenced by the strategic expansion of the World Class health & fitness network to urban areas that are close to where people work and live.

Over the next 5 years, expansion will be accelerated to reach even more people and make health & fitness services more accessible to everybody. World Class projects to reach 90 health & fitness centers by the end of 2023.

“In 2020 World Class celebrates 20 years and we will continue to open new clubs according to our mission to inspire more Romanians to be more active more often and live a healthy lifestyle. Starting with 2020, the largest health & fitness network in Romania will cover 7 metropolitan areas, Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj, Brasov, Ploiesti, Iasi and Constanta, with over 40 health & fitness centers. Every new World Class club opening represents more opportunities for healthy living, always within strategic geographic positions, in big cities, close to where people live and work. Bucharest, the largest urban concentration in Romania, is our flagship location and we are glad to announce that the new World Class Colosseum will be the network’s 30th health & fitness club in Bucharest, consolidating our presence in an area with excellent growth potential,” said Kent Orrgren, CEO World Class Romania.

For the third trimester of 2020, World Class announces a new club opening in Colosseum Retail Park, an extension of Colosseum Mall, covering 16,500 square meters of leasable area. With an investment of 30 million euro, it will combine both commercial and office use, including fashion brands, restaurants, entertainment areas, casino, multiplex cinema and the new World Class Colosseum health & fitness club. Situated in the northwest part of Bucharest, very close to a metro station, on 284 Chitilei Street, sector 1, the new World Class Colosseum will give all who live and work in the proximity the opportunity to choose a healthier lifestyle through sports, health and fitness.

The new health & fitness club will cover an area of 1,600 square meters and will provide premium facilities for its members. The club will feature Technogym strength and cardio equipment. Technogym is the global leader in fitness research and innovation, creating the world’s finest, most technologically advanced equipment, unparalleled in optimal biomechanics and ergonomic performance. The club will also feature aerobic and cycling studios where members have unlimited access to all group fitness classes. A specialized team of health and fitness professionals will offer members a variety of classes based on original World Class concepts as well as popular programs created by the world’s largest fitness provider, Les Mills.

World Class Colosseum will be included in the Bronze membership category and will be the 40th World Class club in the network.
