A new World Class health and fitness club is announced to be added to the network in September, at Oregon Park. This is an important strategic move to consolidate the World Class presence in Northern part of Bucharest, where the already existing World Class clubs see very high demand.

World Class envisages the huge potential of this particular area where new residential and office building parks are being developed, concentrating a large amount of population. This new expansion of the World Class health & fitness network is a strategic move closely related to the #BeHealthy concept, as it makes health & fitness services more accessible so that more Romanians will be more active more often as they will be able to benefit from premium health & fitness services close to their home and workplace.

Corporate wellness programs are on an uptrend and health and fitness fever continues to conquer Europe. According to a EuropeActive study, the number of European fitness club members exceeded 60 million and increased 4 percent in the previous year. Given this background of popularity increase, the largest health & fitness network in Romania, World Class, announces exceeding 62,000 active members and by the end of the year World Class estimates over 70,000 active memberships and a network of over 40 World Class clubs throughout Romania.

Moreover, the number of corporate wellness program subscriptions provided by World Class continue to grow, due to the network’s attractive and flexible corporate wellness packages.

“World Class Oregon Park is a new health & fitness destination with a strategically chosen position to make our services more accessible, close to Romanians’ home and workplace. It is part of our investment in our #BeHealthy Movement and we will keep advancing in order to make healthy living the number one choice for as many Romanians as possible. In terms of investment, our plans for expanding our health & fitness network in 2019 also involves investing a lot in our personnel, in the expertise and knowledge of our health & fitness experts. It also means investing in our existing clubs, updating and refurbishing them constantly”, said Kent Orrgren, CEO of World Class Romania.

The new World Class Oregon Park is located in an easily accessible area of Bucharest, just north of the city centre. The new World Class Oregon Park will enjoy an accessible location in the northern area of the Capital, where the network already has a strong presence through the three existing World Class health & fitness clubs, Caro, Promenada and Upground. The club will be included in the Bronze membership category and will be the 38th World Class club in the network and the third club to be opened in 2019. The club spans a generous 1,400 square meter and offers Functional Fitness, aerobics and cycling studios, premium equipment and accessories provided by Technogym, a global leader in the industry.
