Sedentary behaviour has been identified as an important mortality risk factor. Health organizations have recognised sedentary living as a public health challenge with major health, social, and economic consequences. In Romania, more than 60% of the adult citizens never engage in physical exercise or sports! (source: Eurobarometer Survey on Sports and Physical Activity). The estimated burden of the sedentary behaviour consequences on public health budget is estimated at 119 million euros annually.

Exercise is medicine and health is our greatest wealth! World Class commitment to promoting regular physical activity as an essential condition of a healthy lifestyle is unwavering. We firmly believe that prevention through exercise is not just essential, it’s fundamental!

We are dedicated to the well-being of all Romanians, and we are on a mission to build a healthier future for Romania. Our belief in the significance of improving the health of the Romanian people goes beyond business; it’s a profound commitment to the nation’s well-being. That is why we created the #BeHealthy Movement for More Movement years ago, long before the Pandemic hit and we remained committed to our mission to encourage people to maintain an active lifestyle and prioritize their physical and mental health.

Investing in the health of Romanians is an investment in the future of our nation. It’s a long-term commitment that World Class proudly embraces through the BeHealthy movement. We understand that a healthier population translates into a stronger and more vibrant Romania, ready to face the challenges of the future with vitality and resilience.

So, let us all continue to exercise, to prioritize our health, and to spread the message of physical and mental wellness throughout our communities. Together, we can build a healthier and more prosperous future for all Romanians. BeHealthy, Romania!”, said Kent Orrgren, World Class CEO.

The Bucharest edition of the #BeHealthy Festival is the second organized this year by World Class, after the Festival reached Timișoara on September 30, attracting thousands of citizens to a unique health & fitness experience at Iulius Town Park.
