Yesterday, the world celebrated St. Patrick’s Day 2021. Guinness®, the world’s #1 stout beer, inspired consumers to lead the Irish spirit and stay optimistic, in the name of St. Patrick’s, no matter how they chose to celebrate on March 17th.

Ireland’s National Day is probably the most celebrated national day of all, inspiring people from all around the world to celebrate what truly means to be Irish: brave, bold and optimistic. On the same note, the iconic Irish stout beer drum up some St. Patrick’s Day cheer, no matter where people chose to celebrate on this atypical year.

Marked across 6 continents from Dublin to Dubai, London to Lima, Peru to Paris, Sydney to Stockholm, and Moscow to Montserrat, St Patrick’s Day was celebrated by more than 70 million people around the World. Although in 2021 consumers are encouraged to comply with the safety rules imposed by the authorities, Ireland’s National Day remains the definition of joy and positive energy for those who raise a pint of Guinness stout beer.

„St. Patrick’s Day is awaited with great delight by the Romanian consumers, every year. This year, however, we will celebrate in non-typical contexts, from home or in pubs opened at restricted capacity. This was the time when we usually joined forces with our Horeca partners and organized special events and engaging activities – dedicated for those who appreciate the taste of an authentic Guinness. St. Patrick’s Day will not disappear from our lives in 2021, but we will continue to celebrate it in a different context. Consumers can find us in large chain stores or in online shops for safe Irish tasting experiences. Because wherever a Guinness pint will be poured, St. Patrick’s Day will be happening! ” – Paul Markovits, URBB Marketing Vice-President.

With its unmistakable dark, ruby red liquid and creamy head, hints of chocolate and coffee, smoothly balanced with bitter sweet and roasted notes, Guinness Draught is the top-selling Guinness beer for St. Patrick’s Day, consumers are drawn to its complexity and bold combination of flavours.

For over 150 years, Guinness has been paired with food and used as an ingredient for dishes like oysters, beef tacos, bread and even deserts.

SLÁINTE is the official cheer that always connects over 70 million people around the world to St. Patrick’s Day!
