Bakeronline.ro, a free online platform for bakeries, cake and chocolate shops

Small and medium sized bakeries, cake and chocolate shops from all over Romania will now have the opportunity to set up their own online stores, free of charge, on the www.bakeronline.ro platform.

Launched by Puratos Romania, one of the largest players in the confectionery industry worldwide, launched the bakeronline.ro platform, which enables small and medium sized bakeries, cake and chocolate shops to move their operations online, free of charge. The project comes to aid the producers in this industry whose shops and factories have been closed or their activity reduced and are struggling due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, the confectionery sector is one of the least digitalized, but Bakeronline.ro will enable entrepreneurs to reach their customers by setting up professional virtual stores in less than 72 hours.

The platform’s objective is to attract at least 100 producers by the end of the year and to generate sales of at least LEI 1 million. The initial investment was EUR 30,000. Until August 31, all producers who join the platform will have zero operations costs, after this date a fee of LEI 200/month will be applied.
