Last week, The Recording Academy has officially revealed the nominations for the 2024 GRAMMYs, which will take place Sunday, Feb. 4, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Among the list is also Romanian born Canadian Serban Ghenea, 45-time Grammy-nominated.

This year, Ghenea continues to showcase his mastery with an impressive seven additional Grammy nominations. Notably, he secures three nominations in the Record of the Year category, with Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire,” and Jon Batiste’s “Worship.” Additionally, he boasts two nods for Album of the Year (Rodrigo’s Guts and Swift’s Midnights), along with a double nomination for Best Pop Dance Recording, encompassing David Guetta’s “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” and Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s “One in a Million.”

For these new nominations, The Rolling Stone magazine dedicated an article to the Romanian artist, titled “Why Is This Engineer-Mixer Among the Top 2024 Grammy Nominees?”, available here.

“His first win was for Justin Timberlake’s Justified at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2004, and he’s since gone on to mix every Swift record, beginning with 2012’s Red and including her four rerecordings (with the exception of 2020’s Evermore)”, notes the magazine.
