Transilvania Construcții plans to invest more than 10 million Euros in the generation of green energy accross all projects within its portfolio over the next five years. The first project that will produce green energy is TRC Park Cluj, where the estimated investment amounts to almost 1 million euros.

The goal of Transilvania Construcții is to reduce on-site CO2 emissions, net-zero carbon and generate green energy for its tenants.

“We understand that our planet is facing a climate crisis and we all have an obligation to contribute to limiting the global temperature increase to less than 1.5 degrees Celsius. In this sense, our priority is to reduce carbon emissions in existing properties through various solutions, and to eliminate as much as possible CO2 emissions in new developments, both in the construction phase and in the building use phase”, says Andrei Timofte, General Manager, Transilvania Construcții S.A.

The works to implement the photovoltaic panels within the TRC Park Cluj have already begun and have a completion deadline of the end of July of this year. These works involve the installation of a 1000 kWp photovoltaic plant that will produce 1156 MWh of green energy annually. This project means 347.4 t CO2 emissions will be saved, which is the equivalent of nearly 16,000 planted trees. This is the first project in which Transilvania Construcții will implement infrastructure to produce green energy.

“We are happy to announce that over the next five years, our company will continue green projects across all our existing and upcoming projects, and the total investment will exceed 10 million Euros”, says Andrei Timofte, General Director, Transilvania Constructions S.A.
