“There is a real interest from multinational companies in operational leasing, a well known product in Western countries. Our target is to deliver 800 cars next year and over 1,700 cars by the end of 2009,” said Bogdan Apahidean, managing director of LeasePlan Romania.
Vahid Daemi, CEO and member of the managing board of LeasePlan Corporation says that the company's start in Romania comes at a moment of significant development for the leasing market. “Romania faces an important growth of almost 7 percent and new car registrations have grown by almost 30 percent in the last two years. Last year the leasing market was evaluated at EUR 3.1 billion and this year it is estimated to grow to EUR 4 billion,” said Daemi.
