Romanians can now support the causes they believe in by simply giving up a bad habit or adopting a good one

Galantom has launched a new challenge on its fundraising platform, through which people who want to do good can support a cause they believe in, giving up an unhealthy habit or adopting a good one. Romanians from all over the country are invited to take on the Obicei Galantom challenge for at least 30 days, and do two good things at once: accomplish a personal resolution and raise donations for an NGO or a project that impacts the community.

„Usually, the beginning of the year is a time for resolutions. It’s when we plan how we will quit smoking, workout more, read more or eat healthier. We believe not only the beginning of the year is a good moment to do this, but anytime, especially when you have a good reason that drives you and a serious team of supporters.” says Andrei Chirtoc, co-founder of Envision Association, initiator of the Galantom project. „This is how the challenge of Obicei Galantom was born, aiming to allow people to help themselves, and help others as well. We are convinced that alongside their team of supporters and donors, those who accept the challenge will feel even more responsible for keeping their promise”, he adds.

Those who accept the Obicei Galantom challenge will not be alone, but supported by the voices of 12 personalities known for their contribution in music, theater, radio and television. „Keep up the good work and don’t forget to tell your friends to support you, donating for the cause you believe in”, is the message of Irina Margareta Nistor, who, together with Cristian Hrubaru, Codin Maticiuc, Gianina Corondan, Dan Byron, Ana Ularu, Cosmin Tudoran, Florin Grozea, George Bonea, Dan Amariei, Alexandra Ușurelu and Antonia, who form the personal Team of Supporters of those who accept the Obicei Galantom challenge. During the 30 days, their encouragement will reach all those who give up an unhealthy habit or adopt a good one, while making this challenge a reason to raise money for a cause with a positive social impact.

László Bodor, co-founder of the Envision Association, says that „the Obicei Galantom challenge is not an easy one and we know how much good words or encouragement from others mean. That’s why we thought that a team of supporters for those who accept the challenge will surely help, especially since they are all nice people we follow and like.”
