Arctic, the leader of the Romanian white goods market, continues to be actively involved in supporting communities and donates appliances worth RON 100,000 to Grigore Alexandrescu Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children in Bucharest.

The donation is part of the extended “Arctic for Health” campaign, initiated by Arctic at the beginning of the pandemic, through which the company has already donated appliances to hospitals across the country worth over 1.4 million RON, to support the medical system and medical teams in their efforts to prevent and control the spread of the virus.

Arctic’s donation to Grigore Alexandrescu Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children consists of 56 appliances – 26 air conditioners and 30 refrigerators, equipment necessary for the optimal operation of the hospital and to ensure the comfort of medical staff and patients.

We remain committed to fully supporting health services and the medical staff in Romania, where our group operates its most important manufacturing centre in the European Union. Solidarity does not stop between pandemic waves, our goal is to make a positive difference in the community whenever our help is needed”, Murat Buyukerk, Chief Executive Officer Arctic, stated.

The donation to Grigore Alexandrescu Emergency Children’s Hospital in Bucharest is a continuation of our “Arctic for Health” campaign, an initiative that builds on an important pillar of the company’s CSR strategy and will be strengthened in the medium and long term. Arctic is about putting people first and developing technologies that help consumers in their daily lives. This is also reflected in our CSR strategy which is strongly embedded in our business process and brand identity”, Gabriel Eremia, Marketing & Product Management Director, added.

Under the “Arctic for Health” campaign, the company has donated over 1,300 appliances to over 90 hospitals and ambulance services. The company also donated mechanical ventilators to hospitals in Dambovita county in order to help critically ill COVID-19 patients.

The Grigore Alexandrescu Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children is the oldest children’s hospital in Romania. Over 800 consultations are performed daily as the hospital provides emergency care for over 1,200,000 children across the country.
