The second segment of BR’s Working Romania HR conference featured a live HR Spotlight interview with Mihai Gavan, HCM Global Sales Director at TotalSoft, during which we explored the latest innovations in HR technologies and solutions and met the amazing Timea, TotalSoft’s own HR chatbot.
Timea wasn’t born in the pandemic context, Gavan, told the audience, but it was a project developed and launched in 2019, well before the accelerated digitalisation drive we’ve seen in the past six months. But the technology developed by TotalSoft helped clients to fare better during pandemic times.
“We use our smartphones around 60-65% of the time for text messaging, and not for voice calls like they we’re intended. The global trend is to communicate through chat, with around 75 billion text messages being exchanged each day, worldwide. The way we communicate has changed radically, we prefer to send a text rather than calling someone. That’s why our goal was to develop a new HR colleague, whose purpose is to be accessible to everyone, so we decided to focus on a chatbot.” Explains Mihai Gavan.
Statistics show that Timea can reduce the time spent by HR departments on repetitive tasks such as generating certificates, holiday or work-from-home requests by up to 40%.
“Timea becomes the personal assistant of every employee. This means that the interaction with the HR department is no longer limited. The time gained by using Timea can be invested by the HR department in other processes which bring added value to the organization.” Adds Gavan.
