Wizrom Software: production, logistics, distribution and transports applications will soar in 2013

Companies become more competitive usually after going through two major stages: during the first, the management axes costs using standard methods, while during the second, it optimizes them with the help of modern tools such as software solutions.

2013 is the year which marks the second stage of this process. The focus will be placed on software applications that optimize production, logistics, distribution and transports, according to Adrian Bodomoiu, managing director Wizrom Software.

While during 2009-2011 companies slashed costs and 2012 was a year of waiting, 2013 requires a new way to approach operational costs.

“We are talking about the optimization of operational costs, in the sense of controlling and allocating resources more efficiently, with the help of software tools.(…) If a company in production can no longer axe the number of workers without jeopardizing its activity, it can boost its efficiency by adjusting raw material stocks in accordance with a more precise estimation of demand, a growth in the degree of delivering orders and the quality of the services,” says Bodomoiu.

Another trend in 2013 is that of replacing older ERP applications with new, stronger ones at better total ownership costs.

“These are applications used at the beginning of the years 2000 and maybe even earlier than that, which should have been replaced in past years- but the financial crunch delayed this process. Now, pressed by the need to have a clear image of their business, managers are starting to change the old software with modern ERP solutions and this will support the market in 2013, explains Bodomoiu.
