Romanian transport and logistics company Wind Speed invested EUR 1.8 million into the opening of a controlled temperature warehouse in Victoria, Brasov county, its representatives announce. With this investment the company hopes for an increase of EUR 1.5 million per year in turnover.

The warehouse, designed to serve mainly companies active in the central part of the country, has the semiautomatic “Satellite” storage system and is fed 40 percent green energy produced using photovoltaic panels.

“We are glad that we managed to uphold our commitment to open a warehouse with controlled temperature in a geographical area in which economic growth depends on what infrastructure both large companies and small entrepreneurs have access to,” says Marginean Florin, administrator of Wind Speed.

The warehouse is a good solution mainly for distributors of meat, vegetables and frozen fruits, pastries, ice cream, fresh fruit and vegetables, refrigerated meat and dairy. Wind Speed can also provide transport services and distribution to companies using storage areas.

Founded in 2006, as a transport agent, the company had a gradual evolution towards a complete offer of services for its customers, having now its own fleet and storing spaces,\ for general and controlled temperature goods. Among Wind Speed’s clients are Westfleisch Romania, BEHR, Wetralog Romania, Integra, Purolite, Heinloth Logistic Experts, Kosher Meat 4 U, Fileomera, Vion Food Group, Kozljanic European Logistic, Gartner KG, Rofruct International, Ropharma.
