Vodafone Romania revenues increased by 5.7 percent year on year in the first fiscal quarter that ended on June 30, to EUR 166.8 million, according to data released by the group.
Including international voice transit revenue, service revenue of Vodafone Romania reached EUR 168.3 million.
Vodafone Romania had 8.8 million customers on June 30, representing an increase of some 234,000 users over the same period last year. The number of customers include users of mobile services and Internet voice services of fixed and M2M (machine to machine).
Of this total, 8.1 million are mobile services users. Average revenue per mobile user reached EUR 6.1 in the last three months.
On 30 June 2015, Vodafone subscribers represented 41.4 percent of the customer base, while prepaid users 58.6 percent. Prepaid service users increased by 0.4 percentage points year on year.
Mobile data consumption increased by 128.7 percent in this quarter, as compared to the same period last year.
Smartphone penetration grew by 6 percentage points during this time, against the same period last year.
