Violinist Alexandru Tomescu performs at the Radio Hall music by Philip Glass

The concert performed by the Radio Chamber Orchestra on Wednesday, April 8 at 7 pm, aims at bringing in the limelight three renowned names: violinist Alexandru Tomescu (photo) who will perform a work of the controversial American composer Philip Glass, actor Mircea Albulescu who will play the role of the narrator in “The milestone” by Felicia Donceanu and the evening will end with Haydn – The Redeemer’s last seven words on the cross, a preamble to the celebration of Easter.

“The American Four Seasons” concert is a work which the contemporaneous American composer Philip Glass – whose sound bands received three Oscar nominations – has created as a “replica” to Vivaldi’s famous part.
