Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) announced that the TV stations under its umbrella- Paramount Channel, Comedy Central Extra and Nick Jr.- are expanding their presence in Romania after signing a partnership with Romanian telecom operator UPC for cable TV viewers and Focus Sat customers.

Starting October 1, Focus Sat customers have already started to receive the Comedy Central Extra and Paramount programs.

UPC customers will have the opportunity to see the series, shows and films offered by the two TV channels starting October 24.

Paramount Channel will be included in the digital TV subscription Optim HD on the 111st position on the remote control while Comedy Central Extra will be available for clients who have the packages Familia HD and Maxim HD on the 112nd position on the remote.

“We are trying constantly to maintain our position as the best aggregator of digital content in Romania and we are focusing on providing relevant content to our customers. A very significant segment of viewers for us are families with children, who need multiple options to spend time together. They will certainly appreciate the programs offered by UPC via Viacom,” according to Robert Redeleanu, CMO, UPC Romania.

UPC Romania offers digital, satellite and analogue television services, broadband and telephony in approximately 300 localities.

The digital services offered by UPC Romania connects 1,158,100 customers to our digital experiences.
