US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will stay for two days in Bucharest, Romania, as part of a European tour that includes another four countries.
She has started her tour yesterday in The Hague, Netherlands, where she met senior Dutch government officials to discuss bilateral and foreign policy issues. Today, she is in Berlin, Germany, meeting with senior German officials and has a meeting scheduled for tomorrow in Vilnius, Lithuania.
“In Bucharest, Romania, from January 10-11, Assistant Secretary Nuland will meet with senior Romanian government officials and members of civil society to discuss bilateral and regional issues, including efforts to strengthen the rule of law,” said the US Department of State in a statement.
On January 12, the assistant secretary will travel to Paris, France.
