UPC Romania’s half-year revenues remain stable

Internet, TV and telephony provider UPC Romania posted revenues of USD 34.3 million in the second quarter of the year, up 5.1 percent on the second quarter of 2012, when the company’s revenues amounted to USD 32.6 million.

For the entire first half of the year, the company’s revenues amounted to USD 68.9 million, which represents a 4.4 percent growth compared to the first quarter of the year, when they amounted to USD 66 million.

On June 30, 2013, UPC Romania had 1,153,700 clients.

We will continue to focus on expanding the coverage area with Internet Fiber Power 150 Mbps and on offering new services in the areas where we are already present,” said Severina Pascu (in picture), CEO of UPC Romania.

At June 30, 2013, UPC Romania had approximately 350,000 internet subscribers, up 14 percent on the previous year. The Fiber Power services are used by 170,000 clients while 114,000 clients also use wireless internet from the company.

In the second quarter of the year, the UPC base of digital TV customers reached 442,700 subscribers, up 14 percent compared to the similar period in 2012.

In the fixed telephony segment, UPC had 251,700 subscribers, up 22 percent on the second quarter of 2012.
