UniCredit Tiriac Bank appoints new CFO

Mihaela Lupu, 38, is the new CFO of UniCredit Tiriac Bank starting August 1, replacing Stanislav Georgiev, who concluded his five year tenure.

Prior to her appointment, Lupu worked for three years as director of Planning and Control within the Financial Department of the bank. She has been with UniCredit Tiriac Bank for 15 years.

Lupu started her career as financial analyst at Bank Austria Creditanstalt Romania and coordinated the Financial Control and IT system management department at UniCredit Tiriac Bank between 2007 and 2010.

Starting March 2013, she is a board member of UniCredit Leasing Corporation. Lupu is a graduate of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE), the Faculty of International Economic Relations (REI).

The management change is pending approval from the National Bank of Romania.
