Romsys, part of New Frontier Group based in Austria, posted a turnover of EUR 52 million last year and has similar expectations for the current year. The company has marked this week 20 years of presence in Romania.

“Currently, 65 percent of the revenues come from the sale of solutions and services. By correctly anticipating trends on the market which are increasingly pushing companies towards digitalization, and by placing higher focus on our solutions, we aim to grow this ratio as quickly as possible,” said Razvan Olteanu, deputy CEO of Romsys.

“The shift that Romsys aims to make is towards the digital, where we are investing massively and want to grow. This area has still a minor impact on the Romanian market,” said Horatiu Berdila, CEO Romsys (in picture).

Currently, Romsys has over 2,000 clients from 32 industries- from financial institutions to insurance companies, telecom players, utilities companies, retailers, manufacturing and defense players.

“Companies in utilities, the financial-banking sector, insurances and telecom are traditionally Romsys clients with whom we have annually developed multi-annual projects,” said Berdila.

Depending on their complexity, Romsys solutions of the company can take between 3 months and two years to implement.

More than 250 companies in the Romsys portfolio are part of the Top 500 largest companies in Romania, while 28 of these have been in the Romsys portfolio for the past 10 years.

Romsys will launch a portal called The Missing Link, via which its clients can benefit from consultancy services and where they can evaluate the digitalization potential of their company. “After filling in this form, clients can have an analysis of the company profile, the digital potential and appropriate recommendations,” said Olteanu.

Created in 1993, Romsys was taken over in 2007 by Austrian-based New Frontier Group, with a footprint in 16 countries.  Since being founded to date, Romsys has implemented over 3,500 IT projects. By 2009, about 70 percent of the company’s management had changed. Currently, Romsys has over 300 employees.
