Three dimensional tour of the body on display in Bucharest

One of the most realistic exhibitions in the world, The Human Body, will stop for the first time in Bucharest, at Antipa Museum, from March 22 to June 30.  The exhibition includes more than 200 pieces – human bodies which through dissection of organs and tissue offer a three dimensional perspective of the miracle of the human body.

The exhibition presents nine galleries, each designed to offer viewers the opportunity to discover more about the human body:  introductory, an overview of the body and the journey ahead, skeletal/muscular, the body’s supporting skeletal framework and the muscles that work in tandem with it, respiratory, the system that brings air to every cell in the body and also facilitates speech, digestive, the process that moves food through 10 meters of digestive tract, extracting the nutrients needed for survival, nervous, the brain as the center of consciousness and the spinal cord that sends impulses to it at the speed of light, circulatory, an awe-inspiring look at the heart and the 145,000 km of blood vessels that carry blood throughout the body, reproductive/urinary, the system with two functions: elimination and reproduction, fetal life, life in development on a most basic level and your future, take a more active role in your health and well-being.

The human bodies have been donated to Dalian Hoffen Bio-technique Laboratory in accordance with the Chinese legislation. The laboratory researches and develops the plastination technique for the preservation of human body, giving the exhibits to several medicine schools, for educational purpose. Using the plastination technique, the human tissue is conserved forever.

The tickets prices are RON 50 for adults/ Tue-Fri and RON 60 for adults/ Sat-Sun, 32 RON for children aged 7-18 years/ Tue-Fri and RON 40  for children aged 7-18 years/ Sat-Sun, or family pass: adult + one child (RON 85 or RON 100), 2 adults + one child (RON 110 or RON 120), 2 adults + 2 children (RON 120 or RON 135). The tickets are available online, at www.eventim.ro, or in Eventim network (Germanos, Vodafone, Orange, Domo, Humanitas, Carturesti).
