“Given that the current system is technologically outdated, it has become a must to modernize the current communications network, and a stable and viable solution is to trust the Service of Special Telecommunications with fulfilling this objective,” according to a press release of the Ministry of Finances.

The network will be installed with funding from the Romanian Lottery. After the network is in place, it will become easier to exchange information among the various locations of the lottery and the units that work under it in a secure way and at predictable costs.

According to the press release, the Special telecommunications Service and the Romanian Lottery will agree upon the best way in which the implementation and management of the secure communication services will take place.

The Romanian Lottery has a headquarters in Bucharest and approximately 41 local centers and 2,000 agencies.
