Romania’s National Road Authority will accept in July offers for feasibility studies necessary to start construction on 430 kilometers of highway, with a total value of EUR 41 million. At the start of the month, the authority launched similar procedures for 1,000 kilometers of highway.

The new auctions refer to revising feasibility studies for highways:
– Targu Mures – Ditrau (91 km);
– Ditrau – Tarug Neamt (118 km);
– Targu Neamt (Pascani) – Iasi – Ungheni (100 km);
– Buzau – Braila – Galati (120 km).

The four contracts have an estimated value between RON 153 million and RON 181 million (EUR 41.1 million) including VAT. The contracts will be auctioned off, the winner decided based on the smallest price offered.

The projects will benefit from European and public funding. Offers are expected between July 16 and 18. Overall, the National Road Authority intends to auction off projects for feasibility studies on 1,800 kilometers.
