The management of Romanian state-owned airline Tarom resigned on Wednesday, after the Ministry of Transport set up the future board of directors, the general manager of the airline operator, Christian Heinzmann, told Mediafax.
He said that the resignations are not related to the company’s activity.
Heinzmann did not specify who the future managers of Tarom will be.
Tarom’s board of directors has been led, since May 2014, by the former head of the privatization direction within the Department of Energy, Gabriel Dumitrascu. The other directors were Dante Stein, Toma-Dorin Cimpeanu, Dan Andrei and Anisoara Cornila.
Tarom was founded in 1954 and operates under the Ministry of Transport. The company’s fleet amounts to 24 Airbus, Boeing and ATR aircrafts.
