Study: Romanian employees, happier and more loyal compared to French, Spanish, Italians

Employees in Romania and happier and more loyal compared to those in France, Spain and Italy, according to the Global Workforce Happiness Index, compiled by branding research firm Universum.

Romania was placed 14th when it came to employee satisfaction, just ahead of Bulgaria. Denmark and Norway host the world’s happiest and most loyal employees, according to the study released Thursday.

According to the ranking, Austria was in fifth place, while the Netherlands in seventh and Belgium in eighth place.

Worker happiness was judged on how satisfied employees were in their positions, willingness to recommend their current employer, and the likelihood they will switch jobs in the near future, explained politico.eu.

Germany and Switzerland stand at eleventh and twelfth place respectively, followed by Mexico which represents North America’s happiest workforce.

The study measured the workforce happiness in 57 countries.
