Star Taxi and PayU launch application that allows card payment

Star Taxi, which implemented the mobile application via which clients can order a taxi directly on the smartphone, has come up with the solution to pay the ride by card, directly from the application. The solution was developed by by PayU and is available free of charge.

The application allows the user to order a taxi, see its position on the map in real time, select a certain driver based on evaluations made by previous clients, and even communicate via chat with the driver, if necessary.

To benefit from the new functionality, Star Taxi clients should update the application installed on their phone and they can pay by card from the application after several simple steps. Firstly, the client introduces the card data into the application, also the e-mail address, a password and a personal security code.

The client selects the card as method of payment when ordering the car.

After reaching the destination, the application displays the cost of the ride, and the client can even round up the sum to leave something for the driver, if he or she chooses, after which he or she should push Slide to pay. After the payment is made, the client will receive a receipt via e-mail.

The Star Taxi application can be downloaded on Android (www.startaxi.ro/and) as well as on iOS (www.startaxi.ro/ios), being available in Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj, Constanta and Iasi.
