Seether and Awolnation coming to Romania for Blaj aLive 2014

Newsroom 28/03/2014 | 12:48

On June 7-8, 2014, festival lovers will gather on the Liberty Field in Blaj to celebrate freedom, music and great festivals. Blaj, “the little Rome in Transylvania”, is coming back to life during Blaj aLive: two days and two nights of concerts and activities entertaining over 10,000 free spirited people. Seether and Awolnation, this year’s special guests, are coming to Romania for the first time!

After more than a decade of activity and five studio albums, Seether has shown that they are one of the most consistent, versatile, ambitious and successful post-grunge bands in the world. Having sold millions of albums worldwide, including both gold and platinum awards, and a total of 11 number one hits, Seether is a worthy Saturday headliner for the festival.

On Sunday, June 8, Blaj aLive presents Awolnation, an act that took the music industry by storm when it started in 2009. Awolnation finds its place in the electronic rock, alternative and indie genres, amassing over 150 million views on YouTube with their most successful single, “Sail”.

Zdob şi Zdub, Vunk, Parazitii, Vita de Vie, Alternosfera, Grimus, Robin and the Backstabbers, Gasolines and Blackstar are other highly profiled and groundbreaking acts confirmed and ready to rock the place. More artists will be announced shortly!

Blaj aLive offers three different stages with diverse musical experiences, in addition to a fine selection of bars and tasty culinary specialities, sports and recreational areas, creative workshops and relaxing social spaces, all in the same historical place where 40,000 people gathered during the 1848 Revolution.
