SAP inaugurates in Cluj-Napoca its third nearshore delivery unit in Romania, keeps on hiring

SAP Romania, part of SAP AG, officially inaugurated in Cluj-Napoca its third nearshore delivery unit in Romania. The center offers IT consultancy for customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

SAP currently has over 380 employees in the three nearshore delivery centers in Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj- Napoca and will continue to take new people onboard until 2016.

By the end of this year, SAP will bring three times more employees on board at its Cluj facility. Currently, the center employs 30 consultants.

Over 75 of the available positions are open for experienced professionals with sound knowledge of business processes. The rest are open for students and graduates.

Currently, one quarter of the Cluj-Napoca employees are students, with 60 percent having a background as users, analysts or managers of logistic processes, production or transportation, while 15 percent are experienced seniors in this field.

“For the Cluj-Napoca center, we are currently looking for candidates with 3-5 years experience in logistics, productions or transports, who know very well business processes in these industries. We are recruiting also fresh graduates in the economic or technical domain who have sound knowledge of English and German,” said Gheorghe Olteanu (in picture), director of SAP Nearshore Center Romania.

“By opening a consultancy center in Cluj-Napoca, SAP will contribute the to the economic development of this region,” said Olteanu.

SAP NSC Cluj-Napoca offers premium consultancy and implementation of IT projects for companies in Central and Western Europe- in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg and The Netherlands.

“Cluj has become an IT regional hub in Romania. Experts here are very well trained and have a sound knowledge of various industries and business processes, which makes them exceptional consultants. Moreover, they know very well foreign languages and there is a cultural similarity between this region and the countries where clients come from,” said Olteanu.
