The Russian Cultural Days will celebrate 80 years since the birth of the cinema master Andrei Tarkovski (in picture). The event will take place between November 20 and December 7. The event will feature a movie premiere, directed by Andrei Rubliov, the showing of “Solaris” film, a book launch in the presence of Tarkovski’s sister, Marina Tarkovskaya, and also a showing of the Russian proposal for 2013 Oscar prize, Belyy tigr/ White Tiger (d.: Karen Shakhnazarov, 2012).
The full program of the event is as follows:
Nov 20 – “Traveling” painting exhibition with sales (location: exhibition hall from The Bucharest University of Economic Studies)
Nov 21-25 – the presence of Russia at Gaudeamus International Book Exhibition
Nov 26-29 – The Russian Film Days at Studio Cinema
Dec 4-7 – the tribute to Andrei Tarkovski: the projection of his films, “Andrei Rubliov’s enigma” film directed by Serghei Karpuhin, “The memory’s magnetism” and “Dreams’ collector” films, directed by Evgheni Borzov.
