Run for your cause: Bucharest International Marathon

The seventh edition of Bucharest International Marathon (RBBIM) will take place this weekend, October 4-5. More than 8000 persons, from 50 countries, are expected at the 7th edition of Bucharest International Marathon to run the marathon, half marathon, relay and popular races. Parents having kids under 4 years old can run the 800m “Diapers Jogging”. Kids having 5-12 years old will also have their dedicated races.

International stars such as Chef Foa, singer Ami, Alyanna Lu, the only Otaku singer in Europe, Sorin Danescu, singer, Diesel rock band leader are some of the runners of the marathon.

Part of the funds raised during the event will be redirected to the RBBIM’s associated NGOs: Hospice Casa Speranței, Viitor Plus, Little People, United Way, Light into Europe, WWF and the Romanian Olympic Committee.

Restricted traffic and closed street with the occasion of the 2014

Bucharest Running Club announces that traffic will be closed, for all vehicles, on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th, on all the city’s streets that are going to be used for the Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest International Marathon 7th edition.

Saturday, October 4th (8AM – 2PM): Bd. Unirii (between Piata Unirii and Piata Constitutiei).

Sunday, October 5th (6.30AM – 4PM): Bd. libertatii, Bd. Unirii, Bd. Decebal, Bd. Basarabia (up to Bd. Chisinau), National Arena area, Bd. Natiunile Unite, Str. Halelor, Splaiul Independentei (from Piata Unirii to Str. Stirbei Voda), Piata Unirii, Calea Victoriei (from Splaiul Independentei to Str. Ion Campineanu).

Note: public transportation intersecting above mentioned streets will follow addapted routes.
