Romtelecom’s revenues for the first nine months of the year slightly decreased by 4.6 percent to a total of EUR 470 million compared to the same period of last year.

The company posted an EBITDA of EUR 125.5 million in the first nine months of 2012, up by 42 percent on the same period of last year.

At the end of September, Romtelecom had 2.36 million telephony clients, 6.6 percent less compared to the same period last year.

On the other hand, on internet broadband Romtelecom posted at the end of September 1.18 million subscribers, up 6.7 percent on the same period in 2011.

The number of TV subscribers surged by 1.9 percent to a total of 1.23 million at the end of September 2012.

On the business solutions side, Romtelecom launched a few days ago a new strategic offensive. The company requires no upfront investments from clients who can use communication equipment such as laptops, tablets, servers, cloud offers provided by the company with no initial investments. “The client signs the contract, pays monthly and we at Romtelecom will deal with the rest,” says Stefanos Theocharopoulos, general manager of Romtelecom.

“This approach allows us to better support our clients who no longer need to invest in order to equip their offices with the necessary communication devices and ensure clarity and predictability of their operational costs,” says Dania Selaru, sales coordinating director for business clients at Romtelecom.
