According to Gkf, Romanian consumers have higher expectations related to the wage level, from -8.9 points in December 2013 to -0.7 in June 2014. Over the second half of the past year, the indicator significantly consolidated its position, becoming positive. The indicator stood negative over the whole year. The lowest value, -14 points, was registered in June, the indicator reaching the highest value, -3.8 points, in December.

In terms of wage level, 6.5 percent of the Romanian consumers need their whole income for day to day expenses. For the moment, they do not afford major shopping, also reads the GfK survey.
