Romanian startup Omnipaste was selected to be part of hub:raum project incubator developed within the Deutsche Telekom Group, and will receive EUR 80,000 funds to develop its electronic solution.

“We are proud to announce that one team from Romania will join the incubation program of hub:raum Krakow. It is common knowledge that Romania is a country with great potential when it comes to innovation in technology and we are glad we can support startups in this area to grow, including via the projects’ incubator developed within Deutsche Telekom Group,” stated Olaf Lausen (in picture), chief of staff & business development director Romania.

Omnipaste was one of the winning teams of the entrepreneurial training The Warp Turbo Accelerator in Krakow, in which participated other 14 teams- two from Romania and 12 from Central and Eastern Europe.

Romania was represented by three teams selected based on their proposed solutions: CallerQ (with a mobile app & a web analytics service designed for mobile sales professionals), Omnipaste (with a technology which exposes the functions of your devices to the omniAPI and allows other devices to use them) and Smartnode (with a low-powered and low-cost wireless home automation app).

Omnipaste is a team from Sibiu with more 15 years’ experience as developers and online marketing, which presented a technology meant to democratize all one’s devices, meaning, for example, a clipboard manager which allows you to perform the classical copy-and-paste function across more devices regardless of the operating system.

The other teams selected for investments were Tourvia.me (a new innovative tool for tour operators) and Pocket-Collar (the next generation health tracker for pets).

The training program, into which participated teams from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Montenegro, Slovakia and Ukraine, took place in Krakow, between November 30th until December 7th 2013.

hub:raum Krakow is a startup incubator created by Deutsche Telekom Group in April 2013. It focuses on supporting innovative businesses from Central and Eastern Europe by connecting team, vision, and expertise with the corporate power of the world’s leading integrated telecommunications companies. It is achieved by offering a comprehensive package of seed-funding, co-working space, mentoring and access to Deutsche Telekom assets.
