Romanian jazz singers to present the Beatles songs

In a nonconformist jazz manner, the Romanian singers Catalina-Oana Beta and Adrian Nour will stage the famous hits of the Beatles, such as Hey Jude, Yesterday, Yellow Submarine, All You Need is Love, Lady Madonna and others in the event called Jazz Sindicate Live Sessions.

The Beatles’ music, explored through jazz beats by musicians, will sound on Ghika Palace stage on February 20, at 8 pm, while the event will be presented by the legendary radio-TV jazz presenter Florian Lungu.

The performance is held by one of the most enchanting presences and voices of Romanian jazz scene of the past few years, Catalina-Oana Beta, together with finalist of TV show Vocea Romaniei, Adrian Nour, assisted by five of the most talented representatives of the new wave of Romanian jazz instrumentalists united under the name of Cantaloop. The band is composed of jazz sax player Costin Rosu, disciple of legendary Dan Mandrila, thought to be the greatest Romanian jazz saxophonist ever, bassist Adrian Flautistu, famous musician who performed along with names such as Johnny Raducanu, Mircea Tiberian, Garbis Dedeian, as well as with drummer Stefan Benedict, pianist Alex Borsan or guitarist Liviu Negru.
