Romania’s grandmaster Cristina Adela Foisor has qualified to the Chess World Cup 2015 competition, as she came out 10th at the 2014 European Individual Women’s Chess Championship in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The European Individual Women’s Championship 2014 was a qualification event for the next World Cup. According to FIDE regulations and the decision of the ECU Board, 14 players have qualified.
Foisor won 7.5 points out of 11, while the Europe’s new chess champion is Valentina Gunina of Russia, who won 9 points out of 11.
