The Romanian Chamber of Commerce plans to open a representation office in Chicago. The announcement was made during an official meeting at the Romexpo center in Bucharest between Mihail M. Vlasov, president of the institution, and an American delegation made up of Tony Munoz, senator of Illinois state and Dan Shomon, CEO of Dan Shomon, INC., a representative of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as two Romanian businessmen who live in the United States.

The American delegation was informed and stated it will support the intention of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce to open an office in Chicago, given that there is a significant Romanian community in Illinois state.

The Romanian Chamber of Commerce is a member in several organizations such as Eurochambres (The European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry), The International Chamber of Commerce, The Association of Balkan Chambers and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) Business Council.
