Romanian athlete Patzaichin’s fashion collection on Vienna catwalk

On August 22, in Vienna’s Museumsquartier, the Romanian canoe champion Ivan Patzaichin presented the Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 PATZAICHIN fashion collection on a musical background mimicking Danube Delta sounds. The music was created by the artist Electric Brother (alias Cristian Ştefănescu).

The Patzaikin fashion label follows the brand’s philosophy of delivering quality while also being comfortable, cozy and fit for adventure, combining eco-responsibility with interpreted Romanian traditions. PATZAIKIN offers clothes and footwear for men and women, belts, scarves, hats and jewelry.

Patzaichin’s clothes can be found in the Combinat shop in Vienna until September 6, a store located inVienna’s Museumsquartier.

Patzaichin’s Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 collection is exclusively masculine and combines the sport style with urban, vanguard cuts, using only natural materials such as cotton, flax and hemp.

For this event, Patzaichin joined Apparatus 22, an art and fashion collective based in Bucharest, Romania, that was started in the spring of 2011 after a thorough reconfiguration process of the cutting-edge fashion label Rozalb de Mura (2006 – early 2011) designed by Olah Gyarfas, the Patzaichin’s collection designer too. The Apparatus 22 group explores the crossovers between art, design and fashion, focusing on themes such as the critical potential of clothing and fashion, storytelling, blurring the lines between genders, and mixing fiction with reality.

In the Museumsquartier Vienna, Apparatus 22 surprised the public with tens of thousands of pastel confetti dots with questions about consumerism, original versus copy, the fashion designer status, and the value of the new or the role of the technology.
