The first cooperation agreement between the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed during a bilateral business forum held on November 7 in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman.
Romania’s business delegation that attended the forum included technical engineering firm Adrem Invest and software developer Siveco Romania. They were joined by representatives of Oman-based companies active in oil and gas, banking and transport sectors such as Petroleum Development Oman and Al Mutahidha Transport Company.
“We are confident that this agreement is not only ceremonial ,but it means accomplishing profitable economic exchanges between Romanian and Oman businessmen, developing and sustaining business relationships ” stated Cristian Dan Danescu , chairman of the Romania – Oman Chamber of Commerce .
E. S. Khalil bin Abdullah of Khonji, chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Gulf Cooperation Council, underlined the Sultanate’s key position in the Indian Ocean, which allows the deployment of extensive transport infrastructure for goods.
