PwC Romania has hired 162 new employees in the Assurance and Tax and Legal Services departments, with most of the new joiners being fresh graduates, the company announced.

This year’s number of recruits is the largest in recent years. This is proof that our local business is growing at a solid pace, along with the demand for our services in an improving economy. We remain committed to forming well-rounded professionals, this is why we expose our new recruits to complex and diverse projects, as well as invest continuosly in their education and training, throughout their carreers. We are aware that our employees are our greatest capital and they represent our brand ambassadors in front of the clients and the rest of our stakeholders,” stated Ionut Simion, country managing partner at PwC Romania.

Some of the new joiners were recruited using PwC’s new approach to recruitment and candidate selection process: PwC Career-Boosting Game, a competition based on the gamification concept, which proposes the use of game thinking and game mechanics in a real context, in the business environment.

This initiative is part of our strategy to recruit high-potential talents, which have interesting backgrounds of both formal and informal education. We strive to recruit very different profiles of candidates, in order to create an inclusive and diverse work-environment that fosters innovation, professional excellence and an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented mind-set in our teams,” explained Ramona Simulescu, human capital leader at PwC Romania.
