Publicis Groupe Romania along with the initiative „We plant good actions in Romania” and over 30 companies have launched the campaign Green Endorsement, supported by the Ministry of Environment.

The volunteers that take part in the national afforestation organized by „We plant good actions in Romania” will receive, starting this month, the Green Endorsement certificate, recognized by the biggest companies in the country.

Already, more than 30 multinational companies and other players on the Romanian economy are formally paying attention to volunteering, while analyzing the candidate’s profile.

Romania ranks high in Europe when it comes to the illegal cutting of the forests and. In the same time, the country is lagging behind when it comes to voluntary activities regarding the environment.

The campaign aims to create a bridge between the future of the environment and the youngsters’ professional future, taking in account the fact that they are more preoccupied by their career and personal life than they are about the environment and the voluntary acts are in the back of their priorities’ list. The objective of the campaign is the young graduates’ acknowledgement that the time invested for the protection of the environment means time invested in their careers.

Based on their implication in the initiative, the participants will receive a Green Endorsement Basic or a Green Endorsement Pro certificate.

“I believe that this is a revolutionary idea and one that will bring winnings to all the involved parties, having as a final goal the salvation of Romania. There should be as many ideas of this kind, ideas that would really change something around. I want to thank everyone that believed in our idea and that continues to support it,” said Jorg Riommi, chief creative officer at Publicis Romania.

Therefore, Publicis Groupe Romania becomes the first communication group at a national level that encourages the voluntary act as an additional feature in the hiring process for its future employees.

“The fact that this work is now recognized as a professional experience and represents an important aspect in the hiring of corporate partners represents an edge that we are hoping that most of the youngsters will be able to capitalize on while looking for a job, but also the ones that already have a job and want to develop different abilities,” also added Liana Buzea, founder of We plant good actions in Romania.

The first action will be on March 19th in Giurgiu, Valcea, Timis, Buzau, and on March 26th in Iasi. The activities will continue with the taking care of the plantations (the ones done this year, but also the ones of last years) and in autumn with a massive action of afforestation done in the same day in more counties. The organizing voluntaries can get into the program by enrolling on this link, while the planting voluntaries can do it here.
