PSD deputy Claudiu Manda, president of PSD Dolj and vicepresident of the budget-finance commission in the Chamber of Deputies, will be suggested for the position of delegate minister for the Budget, Victor Ponta announced on Thursday. He stated that the proposition will be sent to the President on Friday.
“He is a young deputy, I know he entered the Parliament at the same time as me and he worked only for the budget-finances Commission. After the episode where minister Petrescu (Finance) was attacked, kicked, humiliated in every way, I decided that we need more young people in the Government. Some will adapt, some won’t, youth itself is not an argument, but I think I can now, after two and a half years, bring in more people”, according to Ponta.
Claudiu Manda is on his third term as Dolj representative in the Parliament, is a graduate of the Economic Science College in the Craiova University and in 2009 he got his doctorate in management from the Valahia University in Targoviste.
According to his website, in 1999 he became “the youngest expert account in the Expert Accountant and Authorised Accountant’s Corps”.
Ponta said that on Friday he will also send in the proposition for Rozalia Biro to take of the Culture Ministry. Kelemen Hunor previous announced that on August 1 he will retire from the position of Minister of Culture and deputy prime-minister, and would be replaced by Rozalio Biro )UDMR).
Liviu Voinea, the current delegate minister for the Budget, will leave his position to occupy a deputy governor job at the National Bank.
