Profi starts the year’s expansion with two new stores

Profi debuts the year with the opening of two new units, both in standard format, in Aiud and Craiova, company representatives announce.

The unit in Aiud is the second in the city, bringing the total in Alba county to 10. placed on 53 Unirii Street, the store has a total area of 462 sqm, with a sales room of 361 sqm.

The store in Craiova brings the number of units across Dolj county to eight. Situated on 4B Elena Farago Street, the unit covers a total area of 519 sqm, with a sales hall of 362 sqm.

The company currently has 369 stores in 176 towns and localities in all counties and in Bucharest, boasting the supermarket network with the largest geographical coverage in Romania. With nearly 9,500 employees, Profi posted a turnover of RON 1.9 billion (EUR 427.62 million) and net profits of RON 27.3 million (EUR 6.14 million) in 2014.
