PostMaster Romania has a new managing director

Marius Bene is the new managing director of Romanian private post company PostMaster part of Austrian Post Group. He is replacing the company’s former executive team – Mihai Preotescu and Mihai Balaj, co-founders and former shareholders. Preotescu will continue to hold an advisory position while Balaj will leave the company.

Bene has over 10 years of professional experience in telecom and logistics. He worked for Vodafone and Cosmote for 7 years, holding positions such as sales director and senior manager business development. Bene has also worked for TNT Romania as regional manager for 4 years. He graduated from the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and holds a management certificate from the OPEN University in Great Britain.

It delivered over 420 million mail units in 2012 and reported sales worth EUR 11 million, up 10 percent against 2011. Austrian Post completed the takeover of PostMaster in November 2012.
