The Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti” in Bucharest and the Portugal Embassy in Romania with with the support of the Camoes Cooperation and Portuguese Language Institute, the Portuguese Foreign Ministry and the University of Bucharest’s Foreign Language Faculty’s Ibero-Romanic Studies Department organizes between June 11-16 the Days of the Portuguese Culture. The activities have as a purpose the acknowledgement of culture and Portuguese traditions through arts like music and dance, conferences and documentary films, and also workshops of Portuguese language and literature.
There will be also activities dedicated to the young, consisting of creative workshops for children: azulejo painting, Portuguese language and stories workshops, Portuguese dolls and puppets workshop or engraving workshop. On Tuesday night, from 18.00, Maria Raducanu will play fado music. On Saturday, starting hour 18.00, and on Sunday, starting hour 17.30, Sebastiao Antunes and Quadrilha will perfom shows of Portuguese music.
