Over 30 searches took place on Tuesday morning in Bucharest and seven other counties, in a case of tax evasion with a prejudice amounting to EUR 1 million, among those targeted by the prosecutors’ investigation being also Nimrod Almagor, the general manager of coffee importer Bristot.

According to police sources quoted by Mediafax, the searches are conducted at the companies 3C Business & Concept Solutions, Bst distributie and Bristot complex.

Thus, 120 policemen, coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office upon the Bucharest Court, implement 50 house search mandates in Bucharest and Ilfov, Iasi, Suceava, Hunedoara, Maramures, Giurgiu and Buzau counties and enforce 42 peremptory writs in a tax evasion file.

Data and evidence gathered by investigators show that the suspects, as company representatives, fiscally registered and declared expenses which are not based on real transactions and that are reflected by fictitious purchase of food and agriculture products in order to avoid paying taxes.
