Prime Minister Victor Ponta confirmed on Tuesday he will pay a visit to US, information previously released by Mediafax, having added in the government meeting that he will meet the US Secretary of Commerce and representatives of the US business environment.
“I will go to Washington to have meetings with the Secretary Commerce and with other representatives of the business community on the economic dimension of the Romania-USA strategic partnership. In addition to excellent political and military relations we must have also better economic relations,” told Ponta the ministers in the government meeting, having asked them again to remove the bureaucratic and administrative barriers for investors.
On Monday, official sources told Mediafax that PM Ponta will leave for the United States for about a week, where he will meet, in Washington and New York, representatives of various American companies as well as certain political leaders.
Ponta will leave Bucharest on Tuesday evening and will return on Sunday.
