The duo Paula Seling and Ovidiu Cernauteanu are the winners of this year’s national selection who will represent Romania for the Eurovision competition in Denmark in May this year with “Miracle” song.
The two received 10 points after the viewer’s tv-voting concluded. The final score was determined after weighing in the decision of a panel of judges, experts in the field. The pair is not at their first appearance in the European contest, while they took home third place in 2010 with their song “Playing with Fire”.
For this year’s national competition, the judges’ panel was composed of Alexandra Cepraga — musical director, Nico — singer and Romania’s artist in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, Nancy Brandes — conductor, composer and founding member of iconic Romanian rock band Rosu si Negru, Bobby Stoica — former keyboardist for long-lasting Romanian rock band Voltaj and Madalin Voicu — conductor, musician and politician.
